Recently, I added a few new skincare products into my routine all at once. My skin strongly did not agree with one them, I just didn’t know which. So I decided to give my skin a break and strip back to bare bones. However, I love the ritual of a weekly or bi-weekly face mask for relaxing. I didn’t want to give it up, but I wanted to stick with simplicity. So I decided to do something weird and try honey.
Last Tuesday I went to Flo2S, in Little Five Points, to try Float Therapy, or as some call it, a sensory deprivation tank. Why, you may be asking? For Christmas, I received a set of yoga clothes that I wasn’t happy with. I returned it, and my parents asked me what I wanted instead. Since I wasn’t going to paying for it, I asked myself, “What is something I’ve been wanting to try but haven’t been able to justify spending my own money on?” My best friend raves about infrared saunas, so I went on a google hunt for one locally.
I always put a lot of thought into gift giving. I love sitting back and taking the time to really think about each individual person in my life – what are they like? What’s going on in their life right now? What do they need, or what’s something they’ve really been wanting? I like to make it personal too. What is something only I would think to get them? What defines our relationship? This year, I’m less interested in materialistic gifts that “so-and-so” might not even use.
