New Launches From Meow Meow Tweet

One of my most watched videos on my channel is my Natural Deodorant Reviews. I have been using natural deodorant for at least 3 years now. In the first few minutes of the video, I explain why natural is better and safer for you. I also talked about a few products I’ve tried, including Meow Meow Tweet’s baking soda free cream deodorant. I liked it, but honestly I didn’t get along with it too well because mine had tiny little chunks in it that wouldn’t dissolve when applied. I do recall it being delivered on a really hot day and being outside for a few hours, so I think that might be to blame.

Towards the end of May, Meow Meow Tweet launched two new products and I was asked if I wanted to try them. I haven’t been totally in love with my recent deodorants from other companies so I was excited to experiment with something new. I received their Underarm Primer* and the Baking Soda Free Deodorant Stick in Grapefruit*. Before getting to my opinions, let me tell you a bit about each.

The Underarm Primer has a lot of purposes, but one thing I loved about the description is that it can help those wanting to transition to natural deodorants. I know some people that like the idea of using natural, but are hesitant. If there’s something you can use to help ease the transition, I am totally down to try it myself and suggest it to others! This product was also designed to soothe the delicate underarm skin, give your deodorant an extra boost to last longer, and keep the natural pH balance of your pits.

The Baking Soda Free Deodorant Stick doesn’t need as much explanation, but I’ll give you a little one anyways. If you don’t want to rub your armpits with your fingers like you would with the cream, a stick is a more conventional, clean option. Baking soda is used in a lot of natural deodorants, but it can also cause irritation for those with sensitive skin (like me). According to their website, the full size should last you about 4 months. They also have a mini size if you want to try it out before commiting!

So, now for my thoughts. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say. I don’t like to eat grapefruit, so I was worried I wasn’t going to like the scent of the stick. But it actually smells really nice! The packaging is a push-up paper tube that is biodegradable, which I think is absolutely awesome. And the design itself is adorable. A cat and a snake trying to get buff?? Yes, please. The product goes on smoothly but they do suggest if it’s cold to warm it up on your skin before applying.

As for the Underarm Primer, that stuff really works! Of the two, it is the stand out product for me, but both products work so well together. I normally have to reapply natural deodorants twice in a day as I move around a lot, but with the primer I was amazed that midway through the day the only scent I could smell was that of the deodorant. I do get some irritation, especially after shaving, and I could see a big difference with that as well. I had a few bumps and marks one day and the next they were gone! For my next experiment I want to try the primer with some of my other natural deodorants and see if it helps them last longer too. But I have been loving the grapefruit stick that I don’t want to give it up just yet.

Have you tried natural deodorants? Or do you want to? If you have any questions, let me know in the comments! I highly recommend trying these two out to get you started!
