Like in any major metropolitan city, there are a lot of choices in Atlanta when it comes to yoga studios. I was going to call this post, “Atlanta’s Best Yoga Studios,” but I haven’t been to every single one. And who am I to judge which are the best? I will say, these are my favorites and where I personally practice. In fact, I love them so much, I teach at 3 of the 4! And no, that doesn’t make me bias. With each studio, I was a student first. I just got lucky that I now also get to sit in the seat of teacher.
With the rise in popularity of aura photography, I’m sure you’ve seen at least one person post their’s on Instagram. As a kid, I used to giggle at the idea of an aura but between yoga and my previous experience of working in a holistic health center, my mind has been opened. All of that stuff that’s considered “woo-woo,” I not only probably know about it, but it’s also likely I’ve tried it first hand. And now I’ve had my aura photographed too.
Last Tuesday I went to Flo2S, in Little Five Points, to try Float Therapy, or as some call it, a sensory deprivation tank. Why, you may be asking? For Christmas, I received a set of yoga clothes that I wasn’t happy with. I returned it, and my parents asked me what I wanted instead. Since I wasn’t going to paying for it, I asked myself, “What is something I’ve been wanting to try but haven’t been able to justify spending my own money on?” My best friend raves about infrared saunas, so I went on a google hunt for one locally.
