Atlanta Yoga Studios

Like in any major metropolitan city, there are a lot of choices in Atlanta when it comes to yoga studios. I was going to call this post, “Atlanta’s Best Yoga Studios,” but I haven’t been to every single one. And who am I to judge which are the best? I will say, these are my favorites and where I personally practice. In fact, I love them so much, I teach at 3 of the 4! And no, that doesn’t make me bias. With each studio, I was a student first. I just got lucky that I now also get to sit in the seat of teacher.

Launch of Online Classes!

I am excited to announce the launch of my online yoga classes! Starting today, you can practice with me anywhere and everywhere. I’ve been working on this idea since last Fall – conceptualizing, sequencing, filming, editing, and figuring out how all of the backend technical mumbo jumbo works. It has been a major labor of love (and perhaps a few moments of frustration)! My main goal with this project is to make yoga more accessible.

Do You Have a Neutral Pelvis?

Let’s talk about the pelvis. Not the “hips,” meaning the hip joint, but the pelvis as a bony structure. I don’t think most of us realize how life changing it can be to have your pelvis aligned correctly. I can personally tell you from experience, it makes a huge difference. I want to focus mostly on the movements of the pelvis and how that affects us, but first, let’s take a quick look at the bones.

Why Your Hand Placement is Important

If you have ever taken one of my yoga classes, you’ll know I am a big anatomy nerd. I’m still a novice in the scheme of things, but I loved diving in deeper in my 300-hour training last year. I’ve been going through the anatomy lectures from my teacher Noah, again. If you’re an anatomy nerd too, or want to learn more, I can’t recommend his online courses enough.

Heat-Building Flow Yoga Class

Temperatures are starting to drop, and it’s getting harder to get out of a toasty bed on a Sunday morning. Honestly, the thought of pancakes were the only thing to get me up and at it this morning! As we move into winter, to stay warm we have to build our own heat, ignite our internal fire. This month’s free yoga class, that is now on my channel, will help you do just that, with a heat-building flow practice. This is a slower flow, so it’s perfect for a variety of levels.
